Sonoma Dog Friendly Wineries

Vetted dog friendly vineyards and tasting rooms across Sonoma County.

Or let me handle it

I drive. Your dog rides. Every stop confirmed.

Finding one dog friendly winery is easy. Stringing together three or four that all say yes, in an order that works, with someone sober at the wheel — that’s the job. One private group a day, and I call ahead so your dog is expected at the door.

Half days start at $400 and full days at $600, both for 2 guests. See full pricing →

See Sonoma dog friendly wine tours

Sonoma County is laid-back by nature — and many of its family-run estates feel the same way about dogs. But "dog-friendly" varies just as much here as it does in Napa. Some wineries welcome leashed pups across full picnic grounds and even hiking trails. Others allow dogs only at outdoor tastings, or only on quiet weekdays, or only for well-behaved dogs seated at your table. Tasting bars indoors are almost always off-limits, even at the most dog-loving properties. We personally vet every winery we tour with, call ahead each visit, and confirm your dog is expected at the door — because a rule that held last spring may have shifted this month. The list below is split into two parts: estates we currently book and drive to on our private Sonoma tours, followed by widely reported dog-friendly Sonoma candidates worth considering when you're planning your own visit.

Every “Nigel’s note” is a first-hand read from someone who tours these properties regularly — but policies change, so we re-verify often and always confirm before we bring a group. Want it handled for you? Plan My Tour.
